Colton InczeGuestGoalieMasks101 HostHost[upbeat music] So during your OHL career, this is kind of going to back to your first season, I guess, 'cause I was kind of looking at-
... stats-wise.
You've played several games where you had 40-plus shots.
What advice would you give for young goaltenders regarding how to keep your stamina and focus in these high-shooting games?

Yeah, well, I'd say stamina kind of comes, a lot of that comes with your off-season training and-
Mm-hmm

I guess I'm a bigger guy, so I was more of like athletic and flexible and strong, but not necessarily, you know, in the best shape on the team.

So for me, for stamina, I would just focus on like going on bike rides, playing sports.
Mm-hmm.

I, I would definitely recommend kids out there listening to play as many sports as you can, uh, whether it's basketball, soccer, tennis, pickleball, whatever it is you like to do to just keep your heart rate up in the off-season.

And then in terms of focus, I think what I would try and do is kind of slow the pace of the game down wherever I could if, if I was just getting peppered.

Like rebound control is one thing, trying to limit rebounds, cover pucks as much as you can.

Try and deflect pucks, uh, on the ice out into the stands or into the mesh to get whistles.

And then the third thing I guess I would say is to try and help your D out as much as you can, uh, with playing the puck, so stopping rims for them so they're able to make, you know, cleaner breakout passes and get out of the zone instead of-
Mm

... being hemmed in your zone for two, three minutes, because that's, that's what kills everyone, not just me, but the players too.

So just kind of game management would probably be, uh, my overall advice there.
