He's made his way over to... brantford this year and then you got guys like nhl draft picks like matthew hell car um drafted by Toronto in the seventh round, and then your decor is just fucking nasty on this team.

Like, you got Jean-Simuel Dango, who is from Quebec, playing in the OHL, drafted by Montreal in the seventh.

And then you go onto the decor and it's all kind of homegrown talent.

You got Ty Henry, who was drafted into the sixth round two years ago, a 20, 20 year old.

Um, but not too many guys that weren't developed in Erie, which I, I like about this team.

Um, obviously you got Lucas, uh, Arnbasto who was just picked in the seventh round this past season by the Kings but I think their goaltending tandem is solid too they obviously got David Eger off um as their starter this year who was Brantford's kind of tandem guy last year and we kind of moved off of him and their other goalie and kind of started fresh and Erie landed him and I like him man I like him a lot

The Erie Otters play their first OHL regular season game of the season this Friday in Guelph.

And we have an interview that we recorded back in the middle of August with Jake Murray, Meaford's own Jake Murray, a young forward.

We recorded this interview as he was training away in the middle of August for the upcoming OHL season at the Gary Roberts Institute in Toronto where a lot of young hockey players try to get an extra edge in training for the upcoming season.

So we get a taste of what that's like for a young player preparing for the OHL season.

[inhales] Yeah, I, I, I think with him, you know, he was a, he was supposed to go to the NCAA this year, but uh, he explained it that there were some credits he needed to transfer and it didn't do it, so he's going back to Erie.

Uh, so he'll be a, an older guy in the OHL this year, but he'll get significant minutes with, uh, you know, one of the usually premier teams in the OHL with the Erie Otters, so that'll be good for him, and then eventually he'll get to the NCAA, uh, next season, and then we'll see where his development goes from there.

But yeah, I mean, it's, you know, you're, you're taking some, some gambles on guys when you get to the seventh round and you're looking for players like that.

I feel like you're looking for one discernible trait that you can like maybe lean into and, and mold.
