I went in looking for an update to the base game to fix some of its shortcomings, and I would say it did an alright job addressing them. I am still bumbling from question mark to question mark, listening to every de-du-dah-daldahdele-du-de-dee-da-de battle theme burned into my brain, and refusing to just advance the main story when there is a box with some gloves hidden in the corner of some out of the way grotto.
I think there is enough perpetual hype in the perpetual hype machine to tell you a good game with a great visual overhaul, makes most backlogs tremble. I heard more than a few content creators laugh saying "well, it makes me want to play the game for a #th time!" and to that I can safely say I still think it is a flawed but good game.
Looking forward to the DLC.
