right and it's borderlands 4. i've spent the better part of the last what three and a half months uh co-opping and playing solo in borderlands 4 across three different characters i started playing it solo and then it became a co-op night game and for those of you who don't know gearbox did give us an unlinked progression box to tick uh if you don't want to run around with a thousand bullets in your gun and you do want to have that true starting experience with everybody else it does feel kind of lame when you're sticking with one gun while you see your friends juggling between two or three and constantly running out of bullets because i mean they probably did what everyone else did and put all their sdu points into backpack i don't think my first 15 hours of the game would ever change in that manner so yeah It was easy to keep a couple characters on the non-shared progression path, and then I just beat the game solo with one character.
And by beat the game solo, I mean I'm up to Ultra Vault Hunter 4.
So I'm coming at you basically as someone who didn't experience launch, essentially started the game at the end of, what is it, the season pass worth of content.
So I kind of have a fair, whatever, super biased against Randy isms perspective of this game, right? So if you held out for a year and you were considering picking up even the base version of this game at this point, I would say it is lackluster.
If you were just getting the base version of the game, there's enough for you to enjoy.
But if you held out and you got the real full game, like I did everything included, and I think it was only like $72 Canadian that I actually think it might be just worthwhile enough to be a Another solid entry into the Borderlands series.
Obviously, we only really had to wait, what was it, like eight months to get it more than half off.
So obviously, the longer you wait, the bigger the discount gets, you know, the sweeter the get.
But all that depends on my wonderful point of contention, whether or not it's ready for your PC.
And I don't know, you know me, playability versus tolerability is back on the menu.
I'm just on the edge of getting cold, so if I... sound kind of nasally well maybe i'm just kind of nasally but i'm just gonna force out the biggest negative parts and maybe like scale towards the positive because i think it's an equal balance but a lot of it feels like it weighs more heavily towards the negative you know whatever despite being gas lit tons of times with quotes that would make anyone say yo randy hire someone in pr to tweet for you or whatever use ai to Do your homework on your premium gamer PC.
