Alan RozanskiGuestStick with me here as I close out this episode, because I have some of my own lingering thoughts and takeaways, things that I'm really, truly gonna be thinking about for the next couple weeks probably.
I've been thinking about how often so many of us are just chasing the absence of disease, how my life, my friends' lives, our schedules, what I see on social media, it's making sure I get in every Lyft, taking every supplement, optimizing every workout, eating exactly as I should, and calling that health, protecting our health, looking out for our long-term health.
It is all six of these domains working together, pulling each other up or dragging each other down.
Am I putting all of my energy into taking one domain that maybe I'm already doing really well at, like I would rank it as a nine, and trying to get it to a 10, when maybe I should be looking at a domain that I feel like is a six and trying to get it to a seven or an eight? Because I wonder how much we all try to perfect the areas we are already good at while leaving other areas completely untouched, and what that is costing us in the long run, and what we're looking at versus not looking at, right? Like, if we're all so hyper-focused on our physical health, when's the last time we actually checked in on the numbers in those other areas? I don't know about you, but that is something I will be sitting with for a while.
