Everyone watching this and who tunes into the Freedom Formula podcast, there's a consistent vein in terms of what they're here to extract from this.
So wealth creation was something that was very much indoctrinated into my family of origin.
And, um, so, and as a bricklayer, my dad was innately bright 'cause, you know, education doesn't mean intelligence, and I can see that from my family of origin and my own experiences in dealing with some people who've got degrees, and other people who don't have degrees but are sometimes the smartest person in the room.
And, um, so wealth creation, my father always said a few key things to me as a young child growing up, and we visited lots of building sites, we worked about... learnt things from fundamentals and th- that were foundational to then what wealth creation was all about.
And some of the learnings I gained from growing up in an entrepreneurial family, um, and my dad's influences were, money isn't about the biggest boat, the fanciest house on the street.
It's about freedom and it's about choice, and it's about getting to that point in your life, if you're working for somebody who's really stressing you out, if you're in an environment that you're no longer happy, you can walk.
So for me, that was always really important, which I think, I love the name of this podcast, by the way, the freedom, it, it gives you more choices, it gives you more options, and it gives you more, um, autonomy over you, your life, and the decisions that you can make to s- to design a life ultimately that you wanna be living in.
Well, [laughs] I think that's rid- do I say the word ridiculous? I don't wanna be offensive to somebody who says that.
Do I like nice things? Do I have an appreciation of things in design and quality? I do.
I think that ultimately for some people, when we do know that certain levels of money caps out adding to happiness, right? So I think the, the freedom and the choice aspect of what money provides is really one of the most appealing things of having independent autonomy, financial security, and, and planning t- to achieve that in, um, in creating your own wealth.
