Sunday 9 August, 10:00AM gathering, Christchurch Location Ps Junior Fuimaono on a Vital Signs series message — “**Heart Check**" Ps Junior takes us through a reflective look at the fruit coming out…
Junior FuimaonoGuest
And the text message that's key to us throughout this series comes from the book of Luke.
He said, the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor.
He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recover of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
In the midst of it, even though we did a life-saving act, there was a cost to that.
I ended up with a whole bunch of abuse and just all sorts of things because things didn't go his way.
But in those situations, whether it be me on the front line or you guys in your life, you need to stand on the authority.
God has given you all authority to go into those situations, not with your fleshly eyes, not with the eyes that you see whatever situation is happening, but eyes that are coming straight from heaven.
Eyes that that have been put upon you so they can see through his eyes, not through your eyes, to see what is actually happening.
What is actually happening with this chap? What is actually happening with this situation? May we not be ones that give in or take the bait of Satan to deal with spiritual things with the flesh.
May we deal with things that are spiritual, with spiritual things, spiritual warfare.
There's no point in me coming and trying to deal with someone who's having a spiritual attack with my carnal nature.
If you hear about the story of the sons of Sceva who tried to do that, They try to cast out a demon in the name of Jesus.
And what ended up happening was those boys ended up getting a hiding and then they ran away naked.
And so my encouragement for you this morning is the situations that you deal with Don't fight it in the flesh.
