It's an interesting week because of who they're playing and what this game means.

And then a few days after that, the Saints play the Falcons on Monday night Football now.

It's a big deal to a lot of former Saints that were there Super Bowl champions from that.

Oh 19 members of the o16 that are going to be there, but you've got a lot of people on the current Saints roster who were either a in diapers when it happened, or B, not in the city when it happened.

So they don't necessarily understand the gravity of how important that moment was, not because they can't understand it per se, but just because they didn't live it, Sean.

So when you look at the Saints roster and the youth all across it, Is that you heading into such a big, highly publicized rivalry game almost an advantage because you're not going to be distracted by all the dome coming? No.

So I thought about this because I was navigating the locker room on Thursday, which felt like a Wednesday and you know, I was just kind of talked to cam cam obviously has the strongest connection of the closest connection to that game, even though he didn't play in that game.

Heck, I think he was in high school in Chandler, Arizona, but he was he's the elder statesman and he obviously played and enough of these sort of anniversary games with enough people that were at that game to where he's kind of the bridge, right? He's the bridge but then you talk to Tyler shot and we talked to Noah Fant.

um who was a veteran but not a but but still i mean 20 years ago he was probably eight or nine years old um so it just kind of hit me because i would i i did a speaking engagement tuesday at the touchdown club and we were talking about you know this is a fan club um and you know they're talking about you know the memories of saints and falcons and and it's been a storyline for the last Week and a half because they played the game so much later than the actual anniversary.

So it's been like this sort of this prolonged discussion about it that I think has added a little more than you would normally get, because normally when you talk about an anniversary, There's the anniversary, and this is the anniversary plus a week, but you're still celebrating that anniversary.

But obviously, because of the opponent, the Monday Night Football, and the years between, this is where everyone's going to kind of celebrate it, if you will, or make it a big national story.
