Episode 99 - My Uber Driver's Story Made Me Rethink Everything

So I've been trying to get a rental car for over a week for my trip.

I got to go to Waco, Texas, right? I got to do a seminar in Waco.

Never been to Waco.

So I'm going to fly into DFW, pick up a rental car, drive down, you know, it is what it is.

no rental cars available at all at the airport at DFW.

So I'm like, well, all right, I'll get an Uber.

I don't mind taking an Uber.

So long story short, the company rule is you take first flight out and you get to your destination because obviously we get paid to work.

We don't get paid if we don't show up.

And I got a seminar.

I got 50 people waiting for me to speak to.

So I get to the airport in the afternoon because of a meeting.

First chance I get to the airport.

Of course, flight delays in Tampa, Dave.

Flight delays in Tampa.

Shocking.

I get to DFW.

This is a long way around.

I get to DFW, give or take 11 o'clock at night.

I get to DFW around 10, 10.30, get out to the curb, call my Uber.

The Uber shows up, get in the car.

Two-hour drive.

I got a two-hour drive now from DFW down to Waco.

And this gentleman, really nice.

I got an Uber Black or whatever.
