Join Jordox for a look back at round 22 of the AFL season from a keeper league fantasy perspective.
[upbeat music] Hello and welcome to another episode of Finders Keepers, the podcast that helps you find the best keepers for your keeper and dynasty leagues.
In the final game of the round, St Kilda star Nesiah Wangane-Miller came from the field just five minutes into the game with what appeared to be a serious hamstring injury.
Now, the knock-on effect for leagues across all of the formats will have been huge, as many coaches would have been relying on Nes to finish the round strong and help them win the final they're in and get them into the next round.
His score of 11 would have been doubly devastating for those who captained him, and there would have been heaps.
Those in leagues using time-on-ground thresholds may have been saved by a handy emergency and/or vice-captain score, but most will have had their Sunday nights ruined from the off.
It does seem fitting that in a year so full of injuries, a crucial final may well have been decided by an injury.
So how'd you go? Through to the next round, or are you licking your wounds and maybe tying one on in your club's Mad Monday? I made it through in some, bowed out in others, and all in all, I'm still in the hunt in four of my leagues.
And this week, I'll be fighting for the right to play off in the grand final.
