Stephen Coniglio

So I got about two thirds of the way through the trade period.

And Jager went to his good friend, probably his best friend, Stephen Coniglio's wedding up in Sydney.

And through the festivities, I think there was some talk between GWS and Jager around, hey, would you consider coming up here and playing with your good mate? Could that work for you? And again, Jager was polite.

Rebuffing that is what I understand until such time as on the Monday after the wedding.

So, um, I was part of the sort of the build of the Giants when they first came.

So we had Jeremy Cameron, Toby Green, Stephen Coniglio, Josh Kelly, all those players that have gone to have a- amazing careers.

Genuine superstars in there.

Yeah.

Oh, 100% Fish.

And I think, yeah, like, as I said, they are sort of stuck in this sort of position at the moment where they do have this budding young talent, and they also have veterans and inaugural Giants in Toby Green and Stephen Coniglio around as well.

But, uh, whilst the club has struggled to attract, I guess, um, prime talent over the years, I think Clayton Oliver and, and his coming into the team has been a success story for this season.

He was able to cement his impact through, like, a seamless transition and a swift takeover of the Giants midfield.

He's been there from day one.

I think there's only him and Steve Coniglio and-

... maybe Kelly.

Adam Kingsley spoke last night, and this is what he had to say about some of those veterans, Toby Green, Steve Coniglio, Jesse Hogan, and Jake Stringer.

Um, not a lot to talk about from the West S- West Coast side of things, but I think we have to make Stephen Coniglio too good for the podcast again.
