Rachael Newton: Founder of Nixit

Hey, it's Cindy, send me a text, get in touch! \[WOMEN’S HEALTH] \[PRODUCT INNOVATION] \[ENTREPRENEURSHIP] In this episode of The Fearless Entrepreneurs Podcast, host Cindy Chang sits down with Rachael Newton, founder of Nixit, to talk about building a period care and sexual wellness brand that challenges stigma, prioritizes women’s bodies, and rethinks the way intimate products are designed. Rachael shares how her career in law, hedge funds, and investment banking eventually gave way to entrepreneurship after stepping back from work and finding the space to explore a new idea. She opens up about her own early discomfort around periods, how concerns about waste and disposable products led her to discover menstrual cups and discs, and why she saw an opportunity to create a product that felt simpler, more intuitive, and better aligned with women’s bodies. Rachael also takes us behind the scenes of building Nixit, from researching patents and navigating medical-device regulations to launching cautiously, finding the right Canadian manufacturer, growing a team, and expanding into major retailers across North America. The conversation also explores Nixit’s expansion into lubricants and condoms, why ingredient transparency matters in intimate care, and how products traditionally centered around men can be redesigned with women’s health, comfort, and pleasure in mind. At its core, Nixit is about more than period products. It is about body literacy, sustainability, sexual wellness, and giving people the information and confidence to make choices that feel right for their own bodies.
