My name is Daniel Swift.

I am a senior research analyst at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.

And I work in the Center for Economic and Financial Power.

So before we jump into the content, I just want to say a few words about FDD.

So the original idea for this actually stemmed from a research memo entitled A Game Plan for American Economic Security that was authored by my colleagues Josh Birnbaum and Elaine Dozenski.
