Why God Didn't Destroy Satan: Evidence for God

Why would an all-powerful, loving God allow evil to exist instead of wiping it out immediately? In this episode of Faith and Science, we go beyond the story of the forbidden fruit to explore the fall of man and the cosmic rebellion in heaven that changed everything. Drawing on the evidence for God and a biblical worldview, we unpack why truth, free will, and love are inseparable from God's response to sin — and how Christian apologetics helps explain the strange mix of good and evil we still see in the world today. Joining host Kaysie Vokurka this week is Dr. John Ashton, author of The Big Argument: Does God Exist?, who brings decades of scientific and biblical research to one of humanity's oldest questions. Atheists like Richard Dawkins insist the universe is the product of blind chance with no true good or evil, yet even they recoil at real-world atrocities — revealing a universal moral sense that a purely material worldview struggles to explain. Dr. Ashton traces this inconsistency back to the biblical account of Lucifer's fall, showing how the angel's desire to become equal with God introduced the first lie into a universe built entirely on truth. The conversation lands on a striking conclusion: this built-in moral awareness points not to random chaos but to a designed order — evidence that evil is not proof against God, but proof that we live in enemy-occupied territory within a universe He is actively working to redeem. In this episode, you will hear: Why even outspoken atheists like Richard Dawkins can't escape an innate sense of right and wrong — despite arguing it shouldn't exist The two specific lies Satan told in the Garden of Eden, and how the same pattern still drives moral confusion in society today The real reason God didn't instantly destroy Satan after the rebellion in heaven, and what it reveals about love, trust, and free will Firsthand missionary accounts of spiritual warfare and demonic activity — and why the search for "life out there" may be overlooking the supernatural battle already happening here on Earth Watch all the episodes on our YouTube channel at this link: [www.youtube.com/@CreationConversations/featured](https://www.youtube.com/@CreationConversations/featured "https://www.youtube.com/@CreationConversations/featured") Discover more inspiring Christian content—browse all our video & audio podcasts here. [www.youtube.com/@3abnaustraliaradio885/playlists](http://www.youtube.com/@3abnaustraliaradio885/playlists "http://www.youtube.com/@3abnaustraliaradio885/playlists")
