Today we're going to be talking about deception in the last days.
It's something that we've talked about on the channel before, but we feel that it's really something that is very important.
Paul, John all talk about deception in the last days.
And so it's something that we just have to be really cognizant of on a daily basis, wouldn't you say? Absolutely.
So I'm going to read some scripture before we get into our Q&A.
for the night or for the day, whichever you're listening.
But false messiahs and prophets are continuously talked about in scripture.
And Jesus warned his disciples to watch out that no one deceives you because many will come in my name saying, I am the Christ and they will deceive many.
Many false prophets will appear and deceive many.
And false messiahs and false prophets will produce great signs and wonders in order to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
There's also warnings about deceptive teachers and apostasy in the last days.
And scripture tells us in the last time, some will depart from the faith by paying attention to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons through the hypocrisy of liars.
That's 1 Timothy 4, 1 through 2.
False teachers will bring destructive heresies and exploit people with false words, 2 Peter 2, 1-3.
And then people will accumulate teachers according to their own desires and turn away from truth toward myths, 2 Timothy 4, 3-4.
And then there's a satanic deception that we have to be aware of that the Bible warns us about as well.
And that's evil people and imposters will progress to worse things, deceiving and being deceived, 2 Timothy 3, 13.
The man of lawlessness will be revealed, opposing and exalting himself over every so-called God, 2 Thessalonians 2, 3 through 4.
And his coming will be accompanied by Satan's power and all signs and lying wonders and unrighteous deception against those who are perishing, 2 Thessalonians 2, 9 through 12.
And God will send a powerful delusion so that people will believe the lie, 2 Thessalonians 2, 9 through 12 as well.
And so discernment is just required for us in these last days.
