And he didn't just work at the Air Force Research Laboratory, he ran the place.

The seventh man to command it.

All of these men or women worked in the American defense industry or in nuclear issues or in aerospace.

The spark was the disappearance in late February 2026 of a retired Air Force major general named William Neil McCasland, who left his Albuquerque home without his phone, his glasses, or his wearables, carrying hiking boots, his wallet, and a revolver, and was never found.

McCasland is what supercharged this whole conspiracy, and it's worth understanding why, because this is also how Melissa got pulled in.

He had commanded the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson in Ohio, where he oversaw classified space programs.
