Flock Cameras Are Making a Comeback in Minnesota

Welcome everyone to our city council meeting.

Earlier this year, in June, June 8th specifically, the Columbia Heights City Council had a meeting.

Next we have our approval of the agenda.

Columbia Heights is a small suburban town just north of Minneapolis.

The population is just shy of 22,000 people.

Our

first proclamation tonight is for national gun violence awareness

They started with proclamations.

Then they moved to reports from city council members.

It sounds like they go to a lot of meetings and community events.

Council President Rachel James had gone to the citywide garage sale.

I also stopped by the flea market at the Highlander Center this weekend.

Commissioner Rabizkins volunteered in the community garden.

...percent of everything planted, and now it's just watering.

I haven't had the weed yet, but tomorrow's going to be a hot one, so...

And then they got down to business, discussing finances and contracts.

The town needs a new dump truck, that was item six, and a new lawnmower.

Item nine is authorization of the purchase of a Toro lawnmower.

So this is, again, a replacement plan for an existing lawnmower, the large format mower with the wings that fold down.

Finally, they came to item 10.

And this was a discussion about canceling their contract for flock cameras in the city.

We have a motion by Councilmember Biskins and a second by Councilmember James.

Is there any other discussion? Hearing none, then all in favor say aye.

Aye.

Any opposed? And the motion passes and the contract is now canceled.
