This week's piece is about the endings you choose, not the ones that are done to you.

Ironically, sometimes those are most valuable for people, right? The universe does to them what they've just not been – willing to do.

It's trying to have the strength to remember why I closed the door in the first place and wanting to, you know, even if I want to reopen it to like take a peek, like, oh, maybe there's something different behind that door, reminding myself I closed the door for a reason.

And I know this whole piece, both the Friday Forward and the episode, this was inspired by an ending of yours, a door that you closed, right? Do you want to tell us a little more about that?

I've been in a forum for those who haven't been in it for almost 15 years, kind of two different forums.

It's kind of a group of people working collectively to help each other advance.

But our forum had been together for a while, and we had a few people that were kind of aging out.

There's a certain age where you kind of have to move on to the old people's chapter, and I'm getting there.

But as everyone went around and did their updates and what they were talking about, In addition to the people leaving the group, it was an incredible amount of transition, personally, professionally, families, kids that were kind of going to school.

And it kind of dawned on me around that room, interestingly, about how – and there was all this exciting stuff kind of going on and new things about how connected those were and how there really wouldn't have been one – Without the other and almost every one of these stories that had here's the cool thing I'm working on had, you know, here's the door I decided to walk through.

I mean, it's, it's so interesting, because I feel like sometimes, in hindsight, you realize it was a door.
