Ford Fathom cheap pickup EV, Audi A2, Trump on EVs, and more

So, you know, we've been hearing about the Slate and the, um, the t- uh, what was it? The t...

Uh, the Telo, uh, for a little bit now.

Uh, these are very small pickup trucks that, um, are selling for sub-three th- thirty thousand prices.

Uh, this seems to be Ford recognizing, uh, there's a huge demand for inexpensive, uh, pickup trucks.

Um, I think Ford was probably planning this a little bit further along in the, uh, lineup maybe a few years ago.

Obviously, they're not just coming out with this now.

But, um, it does seem to be the new thing, is a smaller electric pickup truck.

Obviously, Ford, uh, has done a pretty good job with the Maverick, um, and the Maverick Hybrid.

Uh, those are both ICE, uh, vehicles, but, uh, without plugs.

But those have been quite popular, and I think, um, this thing looks to be in that same realm.

Maybe a little bit more sporty, maybe a little bit less a work truck and more just, you know, uh, fancy car.

Not fancy car, but just like a fun car.

Everyday truck that people don't use as a truck, basically.

That's right, yeah.

A- and occasionally, you can throw something in the back.

Um, I'm on, I'm on Block I- Block Island right now, and, um, apparently rules don't apply here, so people just drive around in pickup trucks with people in the back.

So I don't know if that's something that's gonna come back or not.
