Yeah, I mean, you know, gosh, like I was, we were speaking before we started recording, like, when I did my first couple of films, they were on film,

mil, and then I did a film called Arthur's Amazing Things, which is on 35 mil.

And just to get that camera, I had to go and beg Panavision, Arri, Movie Tech in London, in various companies, and had to get all my bits and pieces.

You had to get the camera, but they just give you the camera.

You've got to get the lenses, but you need the head, which is what the camera sits on.

And then you need the tripod.

And people don't know that because a head and a tripod come together now.

But in those days, they were separate things and you had to get them.

And then you need a dolly and a track and batteries and cables and it was a film.

So you needed a magazine and the magazines only have 400 or a thousand foot in them.

So you need several of them.

And all of these things come in boxes and they're big flight cases.

So you're suddenly, it's a huge amount of kit for one thing.

And you think of the sensor of, well, not the sensor, the gate where the 35 mil goes through is approximately the size of a postage stamp, a big postage stamp, about one inch square ish.

And now, and that image is now replicable with an iPhone or Android, whatever you prefer to use.

And, you know, now you can go and, as we all know, you can shoot something with the phone in your pocket.

It records sound.

You don't need a clapper board.

and you can stick it on YouTube and off it goes and people can watch it.

That wasn't possible.

And so, you know, we are in the age of the democratisation of film and this has been going on for 20 years, you know, but every year, It's getting easier and easier and easier to make a film and to distribute it, but probably more and more difficult to make any money out of it.

But there you go.
