Who's earnest? As in the absence of a co-host, I ask myself the question, Ray, what have you been up to in the world of theatre lately?

You may have noticed there's been a whole bunch of new episodes recently, and I'm just about caught up.

At the point that I'm recording this, I'm also simultaneously preparing a new episode for this coming weekend, which will feature an interview with Nicky Matthews about the stage adaptation of her own novel about Kitty Canham, a sort of local Essex-based folklore legend.

Oh, and there'll also be a review published for the Sewell Barn Theatre's production of When We Are Married.

I mean, I don't know when you're actually listening to this, so I don't know why I say this Thursday.

That opens on Thursday the 16th of July and runs until Saturday the 25th of July.

I'll also be attending the first rehearsal of Open Door Theatre's upcoming production of Space Hamlet, which is set to play at the Cockpit Theatre in London in October.

And following that, we're doing our first read through for a brand new musical, which will be debuted in 2027.

But what about you guys? What have you been up to? Any shows you've seen lately that have left an impression? Do get in touch and let me know, as I'm always happy to hear from you.
