First, Disney updated the 11-month booking modification rules so travel dates and room types can only be changed once the original checkout date is within 11 months of the modification request, effectively eliminating “walking” reservations used to secure hard-to-get rooms and often tied to rentals. Second, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will open July 1, 2027, with cash reservations opening October 4th for Disney Vacation Club Members, October 5th for annual passholders, and October 6th for the general public. Room types were revealed, including select rooms with club level and concierge access. A first-wave member event will be offered on June 24th through 27th with park tickets and exclusive dining opportunities. Points required for this experience begins at 184 for two guests in the same accommodation.
