discipline, church discipline that was invoked on a man that was sleeping with his stepmother.

He was literally having sex with or sleeping with his stepmother, his father's wife, and the church wasn't dealing with it.

They either had a misunderstanding of grace and thought that God's unconditional love means that we are to tolerate all forms of evil.

God's unconditional love, perhaps in their mind, meant that we are to accept people the way they are and where they are and that everything's okay now because of the cross.

He chastened them in their attitude and he chastened this man, I mean severely here, with a form of church discipline.

Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? So why is Paul bringing correction? Why is Paul bringing a form of chastening, a scourging? of this particular person who is now sleeping with his stepmother.

And Paul is flat coming with a rod and correcting this and saying your glorying is not good.

That sexual sin in the church, glorified in the church, promoted in the church, will leaven the whole lump.

All sin to a measure is like leaven, but evidently sexual immorality is a leaven that has to be removed or it will leaven the whole lump.

I could give story after story after 45 years of ministry and traveling literally now the world.
