The Chastening Of The Lord | Episode 6 | The Why of Chastening

You know, my entire ministry has been built on a vision I had in May of 1980 of the cross.

And basically, I saw Jesus and the atonement.

I saw His death.

His burial, His resurrection, His ascension, His seating, and now His ruling and reigning and my identification with it.

I've got my testimony in many other places that you can access.

But the bottom line is I saw the gospel.

and I was introduced to the gospel, and it's the gospel of God's grace.

And so grace has just been an emphasis.

I do see everything through the lens of grace.

I do, I'll confess that I do view everything through the cross and through the work of Jesus at the cross and God's amazing grace.

Well, after 45 years of sharing this message of grace with I started off and it was basically rejected.

Then it started being accepted.

And man, I went through a lot of rejection early in my ministry over things I was saying about God's grace and about forgiveness.

Today, they're common knowledge.

And I'm not rejected near as much as I was early in the ministry.

And so now I see people that understand grace and they have gotten a hold of, listen to me carefully, the doctrine of grace, but miss the person of grace.

Grace is not just a doctrine.

There is a doctrine of God's amazing grace.

But if that's all you know, you're going to miss a lot.

You're going to misapply a lot.

You're going to misunderstand a lot.

But if you understand grace is a person, that grace is a person, it's Jesus.

Jesus was God made flesh full of grace and truth.

My broadcast is called the Grace and Truth Broadcast because it's centered in the cross.

It's centered in Jesus and the amazing grace of God.
