In the upcoming Nov. 3 election, Wisconsin voters will be asked to vote on three proposed amendments to the Wisconsin Constitution. Sterling Knoche, a staff attorney with the State Democracy Research…
So first of all, uh, before we talk about each of these amendments individually, let's talk about how they get on the ballot.
So to be on the ballot, um, um, constitutional amendments have to pass in two separate legislative cycles.
Uh, and so the legislature has to pass it in one two-year cycle and then also bring it again and pass it again in the next two-year cycle.
And so all three of these amendments w- were put on the ballot through that, uh, measure.
Is there another way to get these amendments on the ballot? Because I think I remember a couple of years back, people were criticizing the process and thinking that it was too fast and that it subverted some, some part of the process.
