Join Dan and Stephanie Burke as they discussion what a good spiritual direction session looks like. Don't miss out as they discuss the importance of praying before meeting your spiritual director…
So today we're going to be talking about what is it like? What should you do as you enter into a spiritual direction session? The last show we talked about how to wreck a spiritual direction relationship.
So this time we thought it would be a good time to talk about what does a good session look like in general.
If you want references for this or you want to study this more, you can pick up my book, Navigating the Interior Life, which I wrote a while back, but it was voted the best book of the year at the time.
I'd also suggest reading Devil in the Castle as well as kind of a secondary, along with Spiritual Warfare and Discernment of Spirits.
But I think those three together, and if you don't know how to pray into the deep, those four together are going to give you a really good sound basis for what you need to talk about in prayer.
So if you want to learn more or find those books, head out to spiritualdirection.com in the shop area and you'll find them all there.
There's also thousands of articles and videos and recordings about spiritual direction, the interior life you can find there.
