Tim, thank you so much for coming on.
Thank you, Neil, uh, for having me on.
It's a pleasure.
And, uh, I, I love what you guys are...
I love what you do on here because there's plenty to talk about with this band, and, uh, I'm more than happy to, uh, add to that in, in some small way.
But we could take those two bits one part at a time.
We've got 8-tracks.
First thing I'm really eager and keen to know about before we move on to the 8-track side of things, what's your Def Leppard origin story? How did you get into the band? How's it evolved over the years?
So I was born in '74, so I, you know, grew up in, you know, what I think is the greatest decade in music, the 1980s.
Uh, certainly my favorite bands and, you know, a lot of my favorite albums come from that period.
I think the first time I ever heard Def Leppard was, [smacks lips] I wanna say I had a cousin that had Pyromania.
I remember distinctly hearing Photographs.
But this would've been, I mean, this would've been early '83, so I was quite young.
I was, like, eight years old.
So I wasn't e- you know, I, I wasn't, uh, of an age to start purchasing albums.
I was just kind of listening to the radio here and there.
And, you know, I was eight years old.
I was into a lot of, you know, s- uh, toys and comics and stuff like that.
Mm-hmm.
Um, but I always thought the song was catchy when I would hear it occasionally.
So fast-forward, um, and, and before we get to Def Leppard, I think it's very necessary to get to, to, to talk about the band that really changed the course of my musical tastes, and that's Bon Jovi.
Uh-
Oh, yeah
