Curtain Call Chaos W/ Dawn Ward Lau Episode 6 Special Guest PJ Casbar

So, um, do you have any backstage stories or funny things that might've happened when you were performing or it could even be, you know, in your retail experience?

Sure, sure, sure.

Oh my God.

Well, this is theater.

So there's

so many,

um, even now there's like crazy stories about the light between cabaret.

Like we have like so many crazy mishaps and stuff.

And the, you know, we're still new at performing this show.

So with that newness comes a lot of mess ups and things like that.

But one of the things that you reminded me of before when we were talking about dancing, it is such, people don't realize this, except like people out there that are listening probably can relate if they fit into this category.

But for dancing, I was never a great dancer.

There's, I have like, Like we talked about, I had no training.

But I do have the ability to move my body.

And that is recognized by choreographers and directors.

Having said

that, that is such a

curse, Dawn.

Because I can't tell you the amount of times I went to a dance audition because I was recommended.

And I failed so miserably.

I'll never forget.

when a friend of ours john he was um doing chorus line this was years ago okay and he's like pj they want to see you you have to come and do the dance audition first because it's a dance show and i'm like no john i i will never be able to dance through chorus line no matter what that is right he's like yes you will it's really easy just come to the audition i went into the audition don't i swear to god the four or five minute audition they teach you the thing and they teach you the the combo naturally, but it was so fast and furious that they literally went through the combination like one or two times.

And then they were like, all right, you five go.

And I was one of the five.

Right.
