Um, you know, the week started and I thought the government and Christopher Luxon i- is in real trouble.

We had the wage growth figures which showed that wages have increased on average by 2% in the last year, and of course the current consumer price index has gone up by double that, 4.1%.

Uh, for the government we had the Ipsos poll, which showed that Labor was leading on all five of the top issues ranked by the public, including economic management.

And I thought, hey, well, um, this is gonna make a tough, uh, a tough week for Chris Luxon.

Now, if you're a small business person at the moment, things are, are pretty bloody tough out there for you, and what you don't need is a guy that spent half of his life on a big salary with a big corporate who used to run Air New Zealand, which was bailed out more than any other corporate in New Zealand, telling small business people, "Don't come to the government for any help on anything.

Be adults." Um, and of course, uh, he reiterated that in the morning, and by the afternoon I watched the prime minister's press conference and he had backtracked completely.

The quote of the week was Raybon Kan, uh, who most of you will have... will know about.
