I think that's kind of like your love language, right? And so I've got letters and cards and pictures.
So

why was it important to you to write things to me versus just giving me a call or a text?

Well, there were so many times I was in a location that there wasn't a Pony Express, electricity or anything else, you know, and after Cowboys would ride out of camp, I'd have some time.

I could just grab an old piece of paper or even a part of an old feed sack and write something you know because it was a lot of times easier for me to write something than to actually say it and i learned that i think uh losing my dad through cancer you know in that big long fight in that battle and i i could i didn't really talk to people about how i was feeling but i wrote it down and i think the art of writing letters to communicate with people has slowly faded away.

Well, I think I was talking to somebody or maybe I read an article that there is this whole growing movement about bringing the art of letter writing back.

And not only just letter writing, but just kind of the old trades that have supposedly died out that are having this revival.
