Tigers vs Dodgers Recap: Are we still in it

Oh, it's been inconsistent pitching, offensive ineptitude, and, you know, you got a combination of 4A guys on this roster littered everywhere around this core, so...

Plenty of opportunities.

I think I went back, and by the end of last week, and I was so exhausted looking at the numbers and then rolling into the Pittsburgh series and Tampa, I'm just like, I can't.

This team just cannot hit with runners in scoring position, and they leave.

So, all right, so I'll quickly just share what I had as a roundabout recap.

I think this was between the Kansas City, Tampa Bay, so just through the Tampa Bay series.

They were combined 24 of 113 with runners in scoring position.

That's only a 2-12 average.

And they left on 95 runners on base in those series combined.

Ain't going to win many games that way.

And that's Cleveland, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Kansas City and Tampa.

So that's among five series in total.

They were 24 of 113 runners in scoring position, and they left 95 total runners on base.

And with that Framber game was the first time ever.

No whiffs, not a single whiff in his any of his strike throws in that game.

And that's another guy who we've really needed to help anchor the top of the rotation since trade deadline.

And he's been probably one of the worst pitchers in baseball, period.

Yeah.

And that was an interesting stat because.

We know that he pitches to contact.

He's a ground ball hitter.

I think his ground ball rate is like in the 99th percentile.

Fair enough.

Still, you know, a lot of hard contact.

So, you know, it's going to find some holes every once in a while.
