Resignation Part 3 - Luisa Piccarreta Volume Excerpts

In the cross, Jesus dowered souls.

What a terrible word.

Do you know what dowered is? He actually gifted us and espoused them to himself.

He gifted us.

Okay.

It's like a dowry.

Do you know what I mean? This morning, as my adorable Jesus made himself seen embracing the cross, I thought in my interior, what were his thoughts in receiving the cross? Louise is fantastic.

She'd ask questions that we won't ask.

So what were his thoughts? And he said, my daughter, when I received the cross, I embraced it as my dearest treasure.

Now, we're not inclined to do that, are we? Because in the cross, I endowed souls, I think is what we would say.

Isn't that the language we would use? I endowed or gifted souls and espoused them to myself.

That's in the cross.

Now, upon looking at the cross at its length and breadth, you get this in the Hour of the Passion as well, don't you? I rejoiced because I saw in it sufficient dowries.

Now you can see what he's talking about.

For all my spouses, that's you and me.

And none of them could fear not being able to marry me.

That's actually extremely important because I've met so many Catholics who've said, I shall get into heaven by the skin of my teeth.

And I say to them, that's an insult.

The Lord wants to give you his highest and best gift.

But I'm a nobody.

I say he specializes in nobodies.

And if you're not a nobody, he tells you to become a nobody quick and get into your nothingness.

But they're using their I'm not special or I've had trouble in my life or I've made mistakes in my life or whatever.

They're using all of that as an excuse not to come close to the Lord.

And they don't realize that they're their own worst enemy.
