Look Back: Salem's Lot

So Salem's a lot.

This was released on Max, October 3rd, 2024.

This is the third adaptation of Stephen King's novel.

The first one came out in 1979 and was a movie starring James Mason.

It was a miniseries.

The second one was a miniseries in 2004.

I thought the first one was a miniseries made for TV.

1979.

You might confirm this.

I believe it was a movie.

I think you're a little sure.

Check and see.

Yeah.

I know the 2004 was a miniseries.

I was told there wasn't going to be fact-checking.

So the question is, Sean, did you watch Salem's Lot or The Salem's Lot? I watched The New Salem's Lot.

Which is actually the fourth in the series.

It starts out with a race car.

What?

You guys watched the movie that starts off with just like a race car going in a loop, right? Mm-hmm.

Okay.

So, yeah.

Anyway, the 2004 miniseries starred Rob Lowe.

It's

a two-part vampire miniseries.
