The Faith and Patience of Joshua and Caleb (2)

What are the Anakim in your life? The giants that have been keeping you from possessing your full inheritance in Christ.

Be honest.

This is not about public confession.

This is about private self-examination before God.

For some, the giant is a mindset, a deep-seated grasshopper mentality about who you are in Christ.

Despite years of being in church, years of hearing the word, the internal voice still says, who are you to think you can grow to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ? Look at your history, your failures, your weakness.

That voice is the voice of the ten spies.

It is a lie from the pit of hell.

God's report says, as he is, so are you in this world.

For others, the giant is a character issue.

an area of the soul that has resisted transformation.

Perhaps it is a quick temper, like Moses.

Perhaps it is a tendency toward comparison or competition.

Perhaps it is an unresolved bitterness, a pattern of self-indulgence, or a deep root of fear that continues to shape your choices.

Do not avoid your giant.

Do not choose the easy planes and pretend Hebron doesn't exist.

Go after your mountain.

Bring God's word to bear on it.

Submit it to godly accountability.

Give me this mountain and trust that he who promised is faithful to give you the victory.

For others still, the giant is a relational giant, a fractured relationship.

An unreconciled offense.

A refusal to walk in unity with brothers and sisters in Christ.

Remember, the glory that will cause the world to believe comes through unity.

Every unreconciled offense is a blockage in the corporate pipeline of God's glory.
