The Faith and Patience of DAVID and Faith of SOLOMON (1)

Beloved, we stand at a pivotal moment in the history of the church.

According to the prophetic framework that has guided this series, the church is positioned at the threshold of the third prophetic day, the season of resurrection life, the latter reign, and the fullness of Christ in spiritual maturity and perfection.

This latter reign is not poured out merely to excite us.

It is destined to perfect a church without spot, wrinkle, or blemish, a people who grow up into Christ in all things, who live as he is in this world, who do the works of Christ and greater works, and who walk in the unity for which the Lord Jesus prayed so that the world may believe.

But arriving at this destiny is not automatic.

The testimonies of scripture are not decorations.

They are divine patterns to study, imitate, keep, and fulfill.

In this series, we have walked with Moses, preparation, revelation, and manifestation.

With Joshua and Caleb.

a different spirit and wholehearted following.

With Ruth, consecration, obedience, and refusing to leave the field before harvest.

With Samson, the danger of great gifting without corresponding character.

Today, David and Solomon bring these themes together.

David shows us faith joined to patience, an anointing received in humility, a heart formed in worship, a wilderness that was formation...

Rather than abandonment.

Restraint that refused to seize by the flesh.

What God had promised by the spirit.

And a maturity that prepared a house another man would build.

Solomon shows us faith expressed through asking for wisdom.

Building the house.

Dedicating it to God.

And standing in glory.

And also the solemn warning.

that a glorious beginning does not guarantee a faithful ending.

Here is the movement of the testimony.
