Anointing

Christos, it means to anoint.

To anoint.

Okay, what does anoint mean? Anoint means to make sacred.

And so Christ consciousness is basically saying that I deem myself sacred.

Why is that important? Because whatever I deem sacred, there's no way I can harm it.

Anointing.

I don't know what kind of ministry I would have done today without the anointing.

You need the anointing.

Oh, yes.

All the deficiencies that you have will be explained by the oil and the anointing.

anointing.No one is going to go without compassion, without oil.

Yeah.

Small boys and girls oh, something must work [laughing].

Now, somebody may say, "But there are many, um, worldly people who are doing... who are accomplishing a lot," right, "without any anointing."

Yeah.

Now, what is your definition of anointing? Before you say yeah, what is your definition of what? Anointing.

Now, in Isaiah chapter 11, verse 2, quickly, you realize that Jesus operated in this seven spirits.

Now, there are some, there are some people commanding results by one of these spirits that they have no...

Arise, and vindicate Thy glory, free thy people from their yoke.

But let us wait: thus far he hath perform'd, Sent his Anointed, and to us reveal'd him, By his great Prophet pointed at and shown In public, and with him we have convers't.

Let us be glad of this, and all our fears Lay on his Providence: he will not fail, Nor will withdraw him now, nor will recal, Mark us with his blest sight, then snatch him hence: Soon we shall see our hope, our joy return.

Thus they out of their plaints new hope resum'd To find whom at the first they found unsought.

That's how I know.

"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, where it was written, 'Cursed be everybody that hangs on a tree.' That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles," that means you and me, "through Jesus Christ the Anointed, and through His anointing that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made." What promises? The promises of prosperity and all the other promises God made to the children of Israel throughout the Old Testament.

And, and if you be Christ's, the anointed ones, and praise God you are if you've made Jesus your Lord, then are you Abraham's seed.

Just after salvation, something seems to be happening to you.

What is happening to you is the influence of the presence of God, which is a book called The Sweet Influence of the Anointing on Your Life.

So you've allowed the anointing to change you and influence you, whilst you can also close the door and say, no influence, don't change me.

After salvation, it's enough.
