CALEB WILSON IS A TWO-WAY STAR IN THE MAKING?! + TIAGO SPLITTER FIXING LEONARD MILLER'S JUMPER?

The first thing, we're going to start off with something positive.

Caleb Wilson took on Jason Tatum.

And the results were actually pretty damn encouraging.

If Caleb Wilson was already showing the foundation of a legitimate two-way cornerstone, it changes a lot of what you think this rebuild can be.

Now, it's going to still take time to build around that type of player.

But, you know, it's something that you look at.

So let's just talk about the numbers.

You guys know, analytic guy, I like my numbers.

uh against Boston Kayla Wilson scored 14 points with five I'm sorry 17 points with five rebounds three assists one steal and two blocks he shot seven to 15 from the field nearly 50 percent and when you look at it on one-on-one situations where he was guarding Jason Tatum he held Jason Tatum to one and five now I a lot of fans are focused on Kayla Wilson's offense and that's It's realistic.

Scoring is something that fans love.

When you're dropping 30-point bombs, people are going to absolutely love it.

He went for 30-14 against Washington.

Against Boston, his scoring came back down to 17, but the defense was there.

That's the thing that really should be encouraging about this Caleb, about Caleb Wilson is that, you know, whether you focus on his offense, he still has defense.

Defense is kind of what he came into this league doing.

You know, we had the voicemail over the weekend where the caller had raised some questions about Caleb Wilson's defense.

Now he eventually came to the conversation.

He was like, ah, maybe I was a little too harsh saying he was a bad defender, but this is what I meant.

Great, great convo there.

But one thing that you see with Caleb is that the defensive numbers are really encouraging, are really encouraging right now.

Jason Tatum made just one of the five shots when Caleb Wilson was defending him.

Now,

Jason Tatum still went on to score 23 points, and you know, it is what it is.

It means that Jason Tatum had him a night, but for Caleb Wilson to already be going against a caliber of player like Jason Tatum and holding him to one for five, that's encouraging.

Now, Maybe the next time Jason Tatum gets him.
