Well, yeah, I thought we were going to have a whole segment dedicated to Alex Scott's performance on Saturday.

Turns out we can only review what he did on the bench, which is probably sit for the whole 90 minutes.

Yeah, some questionable substitutions from Tuchel to deny Alex Scott a first cap for England.

well i mean i think in the first place the decision to start with with mars lewis skelly was for me a bit of a confusing one in the first instance there's the fact that ellie anderson and alex scott partnered each other uh in the euro 2024 under 21 england winning side um so we know that they're a good partnership and that they work so there's no reason for them not to be able to to start together and maybe that would be a good place for Alex Scott to come in when he's already got a familiar body next to him it might help him and calm any nerves but he decided to start Lewis Skelly anyway which I disagree with in the fact that Alex Scott for me is a much more complete midfielder And you need that against the world champions in Spain.

And to help combat that, I think you need someone more like Alex Scott, who we know is very good in the press.

The stats back that up this season that he's been one of the best pressing midfielders in the league.

And Spain were pressing very high, but I think he would have been able to play his way out of that without a problem.
