You would see that in the text before you.
He's on a boat.
You can actually, if you wanted to, there's actually a particular area that's known as the Silvers Cove.
It's a picture up here on the screen.
If you want to go on a tour to Israel, I'm sure they'll take you there if you can get there.
But the idea is it's a natural amphitheater, and Jesus is on a boat, and he's teaching, which was part of his practice.
What did he just say in the previous chapters? He said, I will make you fishers of men.
And here he is on a boat.
He's actually facing towards the people and he's teaching them, fishing for men and women.
Here in this particular text, he speaks of parables.
The section here is given, and the reason why he's teaching in parables is actually shown for us as well, right? Jesus explains the reason why.
We read about it in chapter 4, verse 10, and the disciples simply ask him, why can't you just make it very plain for all of us to hear? And Jesus explains why.
He speaks of this language of the secret of the kingdom, or the mystery of the kingdom.
You can read about it perhaps in some of your Bibles.
It's talking about there are those on the inside who will hear and understand.
Those on the outside will not hear.
This is part of the mission right now in this moment.
