Chris goes solo for a short recap of the 49ers Week 4 win over the Denver Broncos to keep them undefeated on the season.

The 49ers are 4-0, and they win 24-14 against the Denver Broncos, and it wasn't pretty the entire way.

You had Brock Purdy looking really out of rhythm, um, for a number of possessions in a row, uh, really for the first time all season.

And, you know, Brock Purdy, while he looked like an MVP candidate through the first three weeks, I think it's very fair to say that Sunday's game against Denver was, um, I don't want to say his worst performance because it wasn't bad, but it, it was probably his worst performance of, of the four weeks so far, but it was still enough for the 49ers to win.

Uh, Purdy wasn't great in the first half, um, and the Niners weren't great in the first half offensively.

Their possessions went punt, turnover on downs, punt, field goal, and then a blocked field goal just before halftime.

Then they go three-and-out on the first two possessions of the third quarter, and you're thinking, "Man, in a 3-3 game, you're letting the Broncos hang around, obviously, and you're in danger of losing on your home field and dealing yourselves your f- your first loss of the season," because the offense just never felt like it could get going.

And the defense, as, as banged up and battered as it's been, really held tough.

You know, it, it limited Bo Nix and, um, and the Broncos' passing game, I think, pretty substantially throughout.

And after that second three-and-out in the third quarter, I had the thought of, "Man, the Niners just need a turnover.

I was like, "The Niners need a turnover in the worst way." Lo and behold, Saran Neal, um, makes a great play making a tackle on special teams.

He didn't quite force the fumble, um, because Marvin Mims, you know, put his hand down with the ball on the ground, and then the ball pops out.

Saran Neal had the wherewithal to make that play, um, and get the fumble, set up the 49ers in Denver territory, and then it leads to Deebo Samuel's touchdown.

And then the Niners score touchdowns on their next three possessions, um, their final three possessions, save for kneeling it out at the end of the game.

And they win, you know, I don't want to say it was comfortable, but they, they win, um, they win in a way that you feel good about the offense again.

And I don't know that, you know, if it was heat or attrition, the Broncos lost both their corners, uh, Riley Moss and, and Pat Surtain, obviously the former Defensive Player of the Year, um, to an ankle injury.

It didn't look great, and he walked slowly to, uh, to the south tunnel, I think towards the, the X-ray room, uh, it, instead of going back to the Denver locker room, which would have been on the other side of the stadium.

But I just thought it was one of those games where you kind of knew, like I would say midway through the second quarter, this was, if the Niners were gonna win, it was gonna look a lot different than what their other wins have looked like so far this season, right? Like, it, it was, the first three weeks, the Niners offense was like a well-oiled machine, and everything kind of went to plan.
