So we're recording this Thursday at about 4 p.m. right after practice and they did not participate.

And so for Evans last week, he didn't participate in practice before playing Monday night.

against Washington, but it sounds like he's even more hobbled this week dealing with the Achilles tendonitis in addition to the ribs, which has kind of fallen by the wayside when talking about Mike Evans' injury situation.

But when you consider the fact that he's playing with apparently multiple broken ribs, I think that adds credence to your argument that, hey, maybe you should sit this guy.

And it's not even about like... punting the game or you know the falcons are they're two and four and maybe an inferior opponent and you could win without mike evans like maybe that factors into it but to me it's just about timing with it being a week before the buy and you're six and one you've already won all three games in your division it's not a divisional game sure it's a conference game but you might not be terribly worried about the Falcons in the playoff picture and tiebreakers and things like that.

Ideally, it would be an AFC opponent this week for the Niners when it comes to considering resting some of your better players, but Yeah, I'm with you.

I think that with the big picture in mind, the best thing for the 49ers to do would be ensure these guys are healthy, give them this week off, you get the bye next week, and then you have a tough – A tougher part of the schedule with a bunch of different road games and you've got a trip to Mexico City.

Then they're practicing in Colorado Springs for a week before flying to Mexico City for a home game, quote-unquote, against the Minnesota Vikings.

But I'm with you in that, you know, if you lose Sunday, it's not the worst thing in the world, given what you've already accomplished so far through the first six games.

And just given that the bye week is there, I think it would be an opportune time to give Nick Bosa and Mike Evans an extra week to try to get right before the second half of the season.
