The Oklahoma City Thunder won the pivotal Game 5 and have restored home court advantage. Will they finish things off on Thursday or can the San Antonio Spurs force a Game 7? Action Network hoops…
I mean, as a fan, I'm definitely with you.
We'd love a game seven.
We'd love, you know, S- what would that be? Saturday night, just build the weekend around it.
Get, get everything ready.
Enjoy the game seven.
It, it... [sighs] I'm curious what you think, Brandon, on whether this series has lived up to the billing.
Like, this is the one we circled all year long.
This is the one we waited for.
This is the one that we're like, "Please just be healthy and get to this series so we can see it happen." And then we saw game one, and it lived up to it, and lived up to it some more, and then some, and this crazy awesome finish.
And then it sort of feels like that was it, and it crashed a little bit because all the guys got hurt after that.
Fox missed that one and has been i- in and out with the ankle.
Harper got hurt the next game.
I personally, to answer my own question, I still have loved this series.
I still think this has been a lot of fun.
Every game, I leave the game in the moment being like, "Oh, man, X team sure has Y team figured it out.
This is over.
Like, that's it.
They've got it." And then we get to the next game, and the coaches have made adjustments, and the players have made adjustments, and the whole thing flips, and now I got Y team figuring out X team, and I'm...
That's definitely it.
So it hasn't been game one the whole way.
I thought of that just because it'd be nice, Brandon, if we could get back to game seven and, and bookend it.
Could we get a classic game seven on there? But I- I'm curious, what do you think? D- do you feel like this has lived up to billing? Has it been a bit of a dud since game one, or where are you at on that?
I look at things first through my own lens for selfish and egotistical reasons and financial reasons, and I have been crushing this series.
