It amazes me, and I also wonder, besides California, what the other states are that have laws.

I find it very difficult to believe that Bacon Hill lawmakers just happen to insert that line.

Placement should be consistent with the prisoner's request unless a correctional authority certifies in writing that the placement would compromise the prisoner's health or safety or create management or security problems.

That kind of language, fairly legal, just doesn't happen to appear in And a bill.

And get stuck in there.

I wonder if Charlie, again, Charlie Baker had to sign it, whether or not he read it.

He certainly has people or had people that read the bills.

I don't recall if there was some type of outcry at that particular time over this.

Again, we're talking about eight years ago, nine years ago.

But I hear where this Beth Kurth and many of the other women are coming from.

But at the same time, I say, yeah, get the law changed.

I understand.

But everybody is an individual.

And just because one has changed genders and because they are guilty of another crime doesn't mean that they are guilty.

apt to commit a sexual assault, especially if it's not in their history.
