yeah that too so and that was first ballot of course very worthy um but yeah pretty good any of you want to kick off uh pumping version's tires is essentially what i think this segment will be unless there's a hot take there but he shouldn't be in the hall of fame or have his number retired

so i mean i was looking at some of his stats recently um I don't remember why sometimes I just go on hockey reference and like look at stats just trying to figure out like what other than being like arguably the greatest defensive center of all time or I guess two-way center like what his kind of what his offensive legacy is and I guess I was surprised to see how consistent he was across his career.

Just kind of like a somewhere between 50 and 70 points, like every year, um, 30 goal scorer pretty late in his career, uh, just kind of kept it up like deep into his career.

Um, And I think part of his legacy should also be, like, how he shepherded Brad Marchand to being, you know, one of the all-time great Bruins as well.

I feel like Brad would tell you also, like, that he owes a lot of his career to Patrice Bergeron.
Yeah, I mean, what else does there say about the literal... uh personification of insert anyone really nice here that you know in your own life because patrice bergeron is that guy for everyone um you know i've i've been trying to write a little column of sorts to be like yeah let's talk about how great patrice bergeron was because 20 years from now nobody's going to remember who he was and will be the old guys say oh back in my day i used to watch guys like johnny busick and people would be like anyway
That's the one word that I think of when I hear Patrice Bergeron, not perfection.
I'm sure at some point or another, he's had to raise his inflection to discipline his children, who I know hard to believe that Bergeron children could misbehave.
