Sports in Boston

We've known each other since 2019.

We had a radio show together back at BC, known as "The Playbook with Joey and Zach." So this is the grand return of "The Playbook with Joey and Zach." We had a radio show for two years, where we had a weekly show talking everything Boston sports, everything BC sports.

We would also do some play-by-play for BC men's basketball.

Let me hear what you found, uh, your four.

All right.

I'm going, uh, similar to you, um, doing favorite athletes, guys in our generation who I've witnessed win championships and, um, bring a lot of success to Boston sports over the past couple decades.

Uh, so first I'm taking Paul Pierce, who was my favorite Celtics player growing up, seeing him win the 2008 championship with the team, and have a lot of success in, uh, prior and years after that 2008 championship.

See, that's one thing that I'm happy about.

The fact that I've largely stayed away from Boston Sports Radio for a while here.

Listen, I think that the Patriots lose tomorrow.

It's, again, another one that I'm really excited about every year.

And, you know, Boston sports do such a good job of keeping us involved in the community and great things to be impactful for.

So it's really special to be a Boston Bruin in today's world.

Refresh my memory.

I can't speak to internal ones, but external expectations for sure.

Do you think people are sleeping on you guys again?

I think, again, we want that expectation as a Boston sports team to be the best, and that's the culture that we want to set here, and we're not satisfied with last year.

We understand that we could have exceeded certain expectations, but at the same time, we didn't get the ultimate goal, and that's what we want in that locker room is to not settle for less and understand that we can really strive for something big, which is to stay on the cup.

That's one.

Two, the behavior from local media last week gushing over the training facility was a low point in Boston sports journalism because there...

One thing that would make that facility better would be if it was like our Olympic training centers and had dorms for the athletes to live in and minimize the distractions, and yeah, good for you.
