Because I remember you saying this song when you were a teenager, right? Well,

I was an adolescent.

I was 14.

I mean, I looked it up.

I first heard this in the summer of 66 when it was released as a single in North America.

and i just turned 14 and i was a very um well i'm trying to think immature would that be the right word probably i mean i certainly didn't know who i was

yeah i was a clean-cut kid like i love the beatles i love the stones i love the beach boys and um They were like my wise older brothers.

They gave me advice and I took it.

And they encouraged me and they sort of soothed my soul.

And the way a wise older brother should.

I didn't have a wise older brother because I was the oldest sibling in my family.

But when I heard this come on the radio, I didn't pay any attention to the words, which normally I'm sort of a word guy, but of course the words in Beatles songs and even Stones songs were not particularly deep.

They were there to support the music.

It was all about the music.

So when I heard the music of this song, And it was announced as this is that Bob Dylan guy who I'd heard of, but I hadn't heard any of the folk stuff.

He sounded like the weird cousin who disrupts the bar mitzvah.

He sort of shows up wearing a weird tie and a weird shirt.

Now that's a movie I'd like to see.

Yes.

And he gets drunk and he's probably stoned.

And he encourages crazy behavior.

and he eats too much and he humps the bridesmaid or whatever the family occasion is.

Anyway, it was dangerous.

It was the sound, to me, I got the message that Bob was trying to give.
