Bonus EP#25 (Teaser) - Rolling Thunder Logbook

I'll just read something from the foreword, which is only like a couple of lines.

The foreword by T-Bone Burnett.

I guess, yeah, and it's just this.

It's just like a couple sentences.

Bob was sitting in a chair reading a Time magazine, the cover of which predicted the next Bob Dylan.

I asked Bob how that was, having all these next Bob Dylans.

He said,

every little bit helps.

Which is great.

That's brilliant.

That's a brilliant line.

But that's not typical of the book.

So what's more typical of the book was the prose style.

What did you want to say about Sam Shepard's prose

style? I just thought it was lovely.

And it's something that could easily be overlooked with this because it's about the Rolling Thunder thing.

But Sam Shepard was a great playwright and a great writer.

And it's great to hear his prose because I've only ever read his plays.

So hearing his prose, it's just stylistic.

It's brilliant.

And hearing him talk about the other the other artists he's surrounded by, particularly, you know, Ginsburg.

Ginsburg looms heavily over this book in a lovely way.

And Kerouac does from Beyond the Grave, which we'll go into later.

But yeah, I just thought it was...

There's something beautiful about that, about heritage.
