10-12-26 Bloomdaddy Show

Let's get into our top headlines.

Look, there's only two topics in this town today.

Topic number one, Guardians-Rays, first game of the ALCS tonight.

Topic number two, the Browns' loss to the Jets.

So this is how I've got it set up.

I'm gonna hit on both.

From 4:00 to 4:30, 4:45, we're gonna have our Browns recap.

Brett Grieff, the More Than Brown Report's gonna be on the horn.

Scott Davidson, WTAM 1100 sports gambling expert, and Dennis Manoloff, the host of SportsLine, in here in the studio.

From 5:00 to 7:00 on the show today, it's all ALCS Game 1, Guardians and the Rays.

Greg Brinda, Dennis Manoloff, Scott Davidson.

Mike Snyder's gonna call in.

Uh, David Movern, the captain of the ship.

We're gonna go all through it.

So what's going on tonight? Game 1, Foster Griffin getting the start, the lefty for the Guardians, in the American League Championship Series opener against Tampa Bay at Tropicana Field.

The Rays are gonna start Drew Rasmussen, who is about the best in the business right now, and I'll get to him in a second.

Now, Griffin made one appearance in the ALDS against Chicago.

He relieved Daniel Espino in the first inning of Game 3 at Ray Field.

He was phenomenal.

Struck out seven in two and two-thirds innings, as the Guardians, as you know, avoided elimination with that 9 to 3 win.

He finished the regular season 15 and 6, with a 3.60 ERA in 31 starts.

Most of those starts came in the National League with the Washington Nationals.

We got him at the trade deadline.

He was three and three with a 5.19 ERA in nine starts with us.

But in that postseason game in the ALDS, he was unbelievable.
