I'd like to talk a little bit more actually about the brakes and the accelerators.

What do you mean by brakes and accelerators and how does it work in an average woman?

So this is the dual control model of sexual desire, which basically says there are things that inhibit desire and there are things that turn us on.

And a way that we can think about this as our desire being like a car, sex drive, if you like.

And there are going to be sexual breaks, things that stop us feeling desire and sexual accelerators, things that make us feel in the mood and turn us on.

One of the really crucial points to this is knowing that Just like a car, when the brakes are on, the accelerators don't really work.

And so for so many women particularly, because often we have more sensitive brakes and we have more brakes and our desire is more responsive than men who can have a more spontaneous desire.

It might be tired, frustration in the relationship, being exhausted, being touched out, feeling like our body has changed, not feeling like we can speak up and ask for what we want during sex, or even just things like worry that the kids will hear us.

And with all of those breaks on, often what people will have done is tried different accelerators.

And it's really that none of those accelerators have worked because the brakes

So essentially trying to drive with the brake and the accelerator at the same time.
