Swami SarvapriyanandaHostIf you look at the verse, last verse, "Brahmāṇo hi pratiṣṭhāham amṛtasya vyayasya ca śāśvatasya ca dharmasya sukhasya ekāntikasya ca." He says here, "I am the firm foundation of Brahman.
And there is a power, God, who is in charge of the world, who is the creator, preserver, destroyer of the world.
And Advaita goes further and says beyond all three, the world, sentient beings like us, and the God of religion, beyond all three, underlying all three, is the ground, the real ground, the absolute, which is Nirguna Brahman, Satchitananda, existence, consciousness, bliss, and the whole goal being to realize that.
Who would Krishna be in this, uh, scheme of things? He's an incarnation of God, an avatar.
But here Krishna is saying [laughs], "I am the ground of Brahman." [laughs] What does that mean? Uh, the commentators, of course, are very good at their job.
[laughs]
So they, they make everything neat again when Krishna spoils the whole scripture.
